Community Music:

Traditional Handmade Bodhrans

As well as being a bodhran player, Doug plays wooden flute and tin whistle,
and his association with these instruments goes back more than twenty years.
He is in increasing demand for his tuition services.

He has been involved in teaching traditional music in local schools,
community workshops and at folk festivals.

"The flute I play is an eight key ebony and silver 'Rudall & Rose' model.
It was made for me by Christopher Wilkes in 1990."

The workshops Doug runs are informal, informative and fun. Group, or one to
one tuition is available. The students can work at their own pace with lots
of encouragement and useful advice at hand.

If you are interested in traditional music tuition on wooden flute, tin
whistle or bodhran, please don't hesitate to contact Doug. (see details
below)
